An excellent 12-race program is on tap at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. on Saturday, January 25–Pegasus World Cup Day at the historic South Florida racetrack.

The expansive program has nine stakes races on the docket highlighted by the $4 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series–the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1) for three-year-olds and upward slated for a nine-furlong trip on the main track, and the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1T) for three-year-olds and upward going a mile and three-sixteenths on the grass.

With the late scratches of Omaha Beach and Spun to Run, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Khaled’s Mucho Gusto, who will be making his first start in over four months, is the 9-2 morning line choice for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1); jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. has the call on the four-year-old chestnut son of Mucho Macho Man for trainer Bob Baffert.

In the Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1T), Michael B. Tabor, Derrick Smith, and Mrs. John Magnier’s Magic Wand (Ire)–the lone mare in the race–has been installed as the 7-2 morning line choice in the field of 12 for trainer Aidan O’Brien. Jockey Ryan Moore made the trip stateside to ride the bay daughter of Galileo (Ire) in the two-turn turf test.

Steam Touts Four Winners On Friday’s Program
