Girls Know Best Hooks Tough Crew In Feature

A customary 10-race program is on the docket on Thursday, May 28 at Churchill Downs, jump starting a week of live Thoroughbred racing in Louisville, Ky.

The featured ninth race on the card is an $88,000 non-classified allowance event for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward slated for a five-furlong trip on the Matt Winn Turf Course.

Triton Stable, Brian Chenvert, and Eddie Kenneally’s Girls Know Best, a multiple stakes-winning turf sprinter, is the 8-5  morning line choice, but she will face nine other well-matched rivals in the turf dash. Jose Ortiz, Jr. will be astride the chestnut daughter of Caleb’s Posse for co-owner and trainer Eddie Kenneally.

Four Wins, $2.44 ROI On Memorial Day Card

Steam gave out four winners on Monday’s 10-race Memorial Day program at Churchill Downs and, as a result, had a positive 22 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 44 cents for each two dollars wagered on its top selections on the card.

Seven days into the 2020 Spring Meet in Louisville, Ky., Steam‘s top picks are winning at a 37 percent clip, have finished in the money 58 percent of the time, and have an ROI of $2.07.
