Three stakes anchor an 11-race program at Kentucky Downs on Tuesday, September 15–the penultimate day of the 2020 meet at the all-turf gallops. Originally scheduled to be run on Sunday, September 13, the program was rescheduled due to an abundance of rain in the Franklin, Ky. area this past weekend.

The trio of black type events include the $500,000 TVG Stakes, for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward going a mile and five-sixteenths, the $400,000 Untapable Stakes, a 6.5-furlong test for two-year-old fillies, and the $400,000 Music City Stakes, a 6.5-furlong turf sprint for three-year-old fillies.

In the day’s cornerstone race, the TVG Stakes, Andrew Stone’s Mrs. Sippy, a Grade 2 stakes winner on turf at Saratoga, is the definitive even-money morning line favorite in a compact field of six. Joel Rosario will be astride the five-year-old bay daughter of Blame for trainer Graham Motion.
