Sonneman Poised For A Win In Feature
A nine-race program is on the agenda at Churchill Downs on Wednesday, November 4, as the historic racetrack kicks-off a five-day live racing week in Louisville, Ky.
The featured ninth race on the card is a $100,000 optional claiming, second-tier allowance event for three-year-olds and upward slated for an eight and one half-furlong trip on the main track.
Courtlandt Farms’ Sonneman, second in his last start at Keeneland against a similar crew, is the definitive 7-5 morning line favorite in a well-matched field of seven. Jockey Ricardo Santana, Jr. will be astride the three-year-old son of Curlin for trainer Steve Asmussen.
Steam Has Three Wins On Sunday’s Program
Steam gave out three winners on Sunday’s 10-race program at Churchill Downs and, as a result, six days into the 2020 fall tilt in Louisville, Ky., its top picks are winning at a 31 percent clip and have finished in the money 69 percent of the time.
