Gulfstream Park begins another week of live Thoroughbred racing action in South Florida with a customary 10-race program on the docket on Wednesday, February 3.

The featured ninth race on the card is a $62,500 optional claiming, classified allowance event for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward slated for a  seven-furlong trip on the main track.

St. Elias Stable’s Hopeful Growth, who annexed last year’s Monmouth Oaks (G3) by open lengths, is the 2-1 morning line choice in a field that attracted eight entrants. Irad Ortiz, Jr. has the call on the four-year-old daughter of Tapiture for trainer Anthony Margotta, Jr.
