Gulfstream Park kicks off a new month in South Florida with a customary 10-race card on the docket on Wednesday, March 3.

The featured ninth race on the program is a $35,000 optional claiming, first-level allowance affair for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward going 12-furlongs on the grass.

Circle 8’s Margaret’s Joy, third in the Endeavour Stakes (G3T) at Tampa Bay Downs in her last start, is the 3-1 morning line choice in a field that attracted nine entrants. Jockey Junior Alvarado will be astride the five-year-old chestnut daughter of English Channel for trainer Michelle Nihei.

Steam gave out one winner on Sunday’s 12-race program at Gulfstream Park and, as a result, 64 days into the 2020-21 Championship Meet in South Florida, its top picks are winning at a 29 percent clip and have finished in the money 60 percent of the time.
