Gulfstream Park kicks off Florida Derby week 2021 with a customary 10-race program on the docket at the Hallandale Beach, Fla. racetrack on Wednesday, March 24.

The featured ninth race on the card is a $48,000 “a other than” allowance contest for three-year-old Florida-bred fillies sprinting six-furlongs on the main track.

Cathi and Karl Glassman’s Restofthestory, who is stakes-placed on the main track at Gulfstream Park, is the 9-5 morning line choice in a compact field of six. Jockey Angel Arroyo will be astride the three-year-old daughter of Jess’s Dream for trainer Eddie Plesa.

Steam Has Hat Trick On Sunday’s Program

Steam touted three winners on Sunday’s 11-race program at Gulfstream Park and, as a result, 79 days into the 2020-21 Championship Meet in South Florida, its top picks are winning at a 30 percent clip and have finished in the money 61 percent of the time.

Post time for the first of 10 races at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday, March 24 is 1:10 P.M. (Eastern). Additionally, there is a $735,873 carryover and a $1.1 million guaranteed pool in the Rainbow 6 Jackpot (races 5-10, 3:11 P.M. (Eastern) post time).
