Gulfstream Park kicks off the 2021 edition of Florida Derby weekend in South Florida on Friday, March 26 with a 10-race program on tap at the historic Hallandale Beach racetrack.

The featured ninth race on the card is a $50,000 optional claiming/$50,000 starter allowance event for three-year-old fillies sprinting six-furlongs on the main track.

Kent Spellman and Madaket Stables, LLC’s Patty H, second against a simialr field at Gulfstream on February 26, is the 5-2 morning line choice in a field of eight entrants. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione has the call on the three-year-old bay daughter of Flatter for trainer Brad Cox.
