Opry Takes Center Stage In Feature
A nine-race program is on the agenda at Keeneland Race Course on Thursday, April 8, as a five-day week of Thoroughbred racing action continues at the historic Central Kentucky racetrack.
The featured eighth race on the card is an $83,000 “two other than” allowance event for four-year-olds and upward slated for an eight and one half-furlong journey on the Haggin Turf Course.
Cheyene Stables, LLC and Gaillardia Racing, LLC’s Opry–a Group 3 stakes winner on grass at Saratoga–is the 3-1 morning line favorite in a field that attracted 12 horses in the race’s body and one also eligible entrant. Jockey Luis Saez will be astride the chestnut son of Declaration of War for trainer Todd Pletcher.
