Four To Square Off In Off-Turf Feature
Keeneland Race Course commences a five-day week of Thoroughbred racing in Central Kentucky with an eight-race program on the docket on Wednesday, April 14 at the historic Lexington, Ky. racetrack.
The featured seventh race on the card is an $85,000 first-tier allowance event for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward. Orginally scheduled for an eight and one half-furlong trip on the Haggin Turf Course, the race has been taken off the grass and will be contested on the main track going a mile and a sixteenth.
Myracehorse.com’s His Glory, a three-time winner on the main track, is the 2-1 morning line favorite in field that was scratched down to four entrants. Jockey Luis Saez has the call on the four-year-old daughter of Mineshaft for Joe Sharp.
Top Picks Winning At A 35% Clip At The Meet
Steam gave out a pair of winners on Sunday’s nine-race program at Keeneland and, as a result, seven days into the 2021 Spring Meet in Lexington, Ky., its top picks are winning at a 35 percent clip and have finished in the money 63 percent of the time.
Post time for the first of eight races at Keeneland on Wednesday, April 14 is 1:05 P.M. (Eastern). Additionally, there is a $53,696 carryover in the $1 Pick 6 (races 3-8, 2:12 P.M. (Eastern) post time), and a $17,266 carryover in the 50-cent Super Hi-5 Jackpot (2nd race, 1:39 P.M. (Eastern) post time).
Racing will be conducted at Keeneland this April with limited spectators, in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the federal government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
