Bewitch Closes Out 2021 Spring Meet

Keeneland Race Course will put the finishing touches on its 15-day Spring Meet with a 10-race program on tap on Friday, April 23 at the venerable Lexington, Ky. racetrack.

The featured ninth race on the card is the $150,000 Bewitch Stakes (G3T) for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward slated for a 12-furlong journey on the Haggin Turf Course.

George Krikorian’s War Like Goddess, winner of the Orchid Stakes (G3T) in her last start at Gulfstream Park on March 27, is the tepid 7-2 morning line choice in a full field of 12 entrants. Jockey Julien Leparoux will be astride the four-year-old bay daughter of English Channel for Hall of Fame conditioner Bill Mott.

Top Picks Winning At 30% Clip At Stand

Steam gave out a pair of winners on Thursday’s nine-race program at Keeneland and, as a result, heading into the final day of the 2021 Spring Meet in Lexington, Ky., its top picks are winning at a 30 percent clip and have finished in the money 61 percent of the time.

Post time for the first of 10 races at Keeneland on Friday, April 23 is 1:05 P.M. (Eastern). Additionally, there is a $13,110 carryover in the 50-cent Super Hi-5 Jackpot (1st race, 1:05 P.M. (Eastern) post time).
