A customary 11-race program is on the docket at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 15, as a weekend of live Thoroughbred racing action steams ahead at the historic Louisville, Ky. racetrack.

The featured eleventh race on the card is the $150,000 Louisville Handicap (G3T) for four-year-olds and upward slated for a 12-furlong journey on the Matt Winn Turf Course.

Donegal Racing, the Estate of Peter Coneway, and Joseph Bulger’s Arklow, who won the Hollywood Turf Cup (G2T) in his final start of 2020 last November at Santa Anita, is the definitive 7-5 morning line favorite in a full field of 14. Jockey Florent Geroux has the call on the seven-year-old bay son of Arch for trainer Brad Cox.

Steam gave out three winners on Friday’s nine-race program at Churchill Downs and, as a result, 12 days into the 2021 Spring Meet in South Louisville its top picks are winning at a 26¬†percent clip and have finished in the money 52 percent¬†of the time.
