A customary 10-race program is on tap at Churchill Downs on Sunday, June 20, as the venerable Louisville, Ky. racetrack closes out the penultimate week of its 2021 Spring Meeting.

The featured eighth race on the card is a $62,500 optional claiming / “two other than”  allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward slated for an eight-furlong trip on the Matt Winn Turf Course.

Jim Gladden’s Falkirk, a winner of his most recent start on the turf at Churchill Downs on May 13, is the tepid 4-1 morning line favorite in a full field of 12 entrants. Veteran reinsman Corey Lanerie has the call on the four-year-old gray son of Cairo Prince for trainer Ian Wilkes.
