A nine-race program is on tap on Saturday, July 24 at Ellis Park in Henderson, Ky., as a weekend of live Thoroughbred racing action continues in the Tri-State area.

The featured eighth race on the card is a $40,000 optional claiming / “money since” allowance affair for three-year-olds and upward slated for an eight and one half-furlong trip on the turf.

Michael J. Ryan’s Bluegrass Parkway, who will be making his first start since March 19, is the tepid 3-1 morning line favorite in a well-matched field that attracted eight entrants. Florent Geroux will be astride the five-year-old bay son of Quality Road for trainer Mike Maker.
