A 10-race program is on the agenda on Sunday, October 3 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.–closing day of the 2021 September Meet in Derby City.
The featured ninth race on the card is an $80,000 optional claiming / “three other than” allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward slated for a seven-furlong trip on the main track.
Winchell Thoroughbreds, LLC’s Pneumatic, who will be making his first start since October 3, 2020, is the 3-1 morning line favorite in a field that attracted nine entreants. Jockey Brian Hernandez, Jr. has the call on the four-year-old son of Uncle Mo for trainer Steve Asmussen.
