Letruska Goes For Five Straight In Spinster
The $500,000 Juddmonte Spinster (G1)–a nine-furlong test for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward–is the crown jewel of a 10-race program that includes a pair of supporting stakes at Keeneland Race Course on Sunday, October 10, as the venerable Central Kentucky racetrack closes out the opening weekend of its 2021 fall meet.
The card also features the $200,000 Castle & Key Bourbon Stakes (G2T) for two-year-olds slated for an eight and one half-furlong trip on the Haggin Turf Course, and the $200,000 Indian Summer Stakes Presented By Keeneland Select for two-year-olds sprinting five and one half-furlongs on the grass.
St. George Stable, LLC’s Letruska, who will try to win her fifth consecutive graded stakes race, is the definitive 4-5 morning line choice in the Juddmonte Spinster (G1), which attracted a field of seven entrants. Jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. will be astride the five-year-old bay daughter of Super Saver for trainer Fausto Gutierrez.
