Two Stakes On Tap On Friday’s Card

A pair of stakes races for fillies are the highlights on a 10-race program at Keeneland Race Course on Friday, October 29th–the penultimate day of the historic racetracks’ 2021 Fall Meet.
The card features a pair of stakes races–the $150,000 Myrtlewood Stakes, a six-furlong dirt sprint for two-year-old fillies, and the $150,000 Rubicon Valley View Stakes (G3T) for three-year-old fillies slated for an eight and one half-furlong trip on Haggin Turf Course.
In the Myrtlewood Stakes, Castleton Lyons’ Chi Town Lady, a stakes winner on turf who broke her maiden on dirt at Keeneland, is the 3-1 morning line favorite. Jockey Florent Geroux has the call on the chestnut daughter of Verrazano for trainer Wesley Ward.
In the Valley View Stakes (G3T), Phoenix Thoroughbred III, Ltd.’s Crazy Beautiful, a multiple graded stakes winner on dirt who broke her maiden on turf at Ellis Park, is the 3-1 morning line choice. Brian Hernandez, Jr. will be astride the gray daughter of Liam’s Map for trainer Kenny McPeek.
