Three Stakes On Docket On Closing Day

A 10-race program is on the docket at Keeneland Race Course on Saturday, October 30–the final day of the Central Kentucky racetrack’s 2021 fall meet.
The card features a trio of stakes races–the $150,000 Bowman Mill Stakes for two-year-olds sprinting six-furlongs on the main track, the $150,000 Bryan Station Stakes for three-year-olds slated for an eight-furlong trip on the Haggin Turf Course, and the $200,000 Hagyard Fayette Stakes (G2), a nine-furlong dirt test for three-year-olds and upward.
In the Hagyard Fayette Stakes (G2), the program’s centerpiece, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Twin Creeks Racing Stables, LLC, WinStar Farm, LLC, and Kathleen and Robert Verratti’s Independence Hall, who will try to notch his first win of 2021, is the 5-2 morning line favorite in a field that attracted eight entrants. Hall-of-Fame jockey Javier Castellano has the call on the four-year-old son of Constitution for trainer Michael McCarthy.
