Nine Race Card Kicks Off World Cup Week

A nine-race program is on the agenda on Wednesday, January 26 at Gulfstream Park, as the Hallandale Beach, Fla. racetrack kicks-off a five-day week of Thoroughbred racing action highlighted by the 2022 Pegasus World Cup Invitational on Saturday, January 29.
The seventh race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $35,000 optional claiming/$35,000 starter allowance contest for three-year-old fillies sprinting 5.5-furlongs on the main track.
Stefania Farms, LLC’s Leviosa, who has won her past two starts on the main track at Gulfstream Park, is the definitive 8-5 morning line favorite in a compact field of six. Jockey Luis Saez will be astride the bay daughter of Kantharos for trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr.
