10-races are on the docket at Gulfstream Park on Friday, February 25, as the Hallandale Beach racetrack commences a weekend of Thoroughbred racing action in South Florida.
The eighth race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $25,000 optional claiming / “a other than” allowance contest for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward slated for a 7.5-furlong trip on the turf.
Augustin Stable’s Lilac Girl, who will face winners for the first time, is the tepid 7-2 morning line choice in a field that attracted 10 entrants. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione has the call on the four-year-old daughter of Quality Road for trainer Jonathan Thomas.
