Nine-races are on the docket at Gulfstream Park on Thursday, March 3, as a five-day week of Thoroughbred racing continues in South Florida.
The third race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $62,500 optional claiming/classified allowance affair for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward sprinting 6.5-furlongs on the main track.
Mrs. John Magnier, Derrick Smith, Michael B. Tabor, Westerberg Limited, and Jonathan Poulin’s Kimari, winner of the Madison Stakes (G1) last fall at Keeneland, is the definitve 3-5 morning line favorite in a compact field of five. Jockey Joel Rosario will be astride the five-year-old bay daughter of Munnings for trainer Wesley Ward.
