Nine-races are on the docket at Gulfstream Park on Friday, March 11, as the Hallandale Beach racetrack kivcks-off a weekend of Thoroughbred racing in South Florida.
The featured eighth race on the card is a $20,000 optional claiming/entry-level allowance affair for Florida-bred fillies and mares four-years-old and upward sprinting 5.5-furlongs on the main track.
Rigney Racing, LLC’s Smarmy, who ships in from Oaklawn Park for her 2022 debut, is the definitive 8-5 morning line favorite in a field that attracted seven entrants. Jockey Luis Saez will be astride the four-year-old daughter of Liam’s Map for trainer Philip Bauer.
