A nine-race program is on tap at Gulfstream Park on Friday, April 1, as Florida Derby week 2022 continues in the Sunshine State.

The featured eighth race on the card is a $62,500 optional claiming/classified allowance affair for four-year-olds and upward sprinting five-furlongs on the turf.

Gary Barber’s Jack and Noah (Fr), a three-time stakes winner on turf, is the 2-1 morning line choice in a compact field of six. Jockey Jose Ortiz, Jr. has the call on gray son of Bated Breath (GB) for trainer Mark Casse.
