Nine-races are on the agenda at Keeneland Race Course on Thursday, April 28, the penultimate day of the 2022 Spring Meet at the historic Lexington, KY racetrack.

The featured eighth race on the card is an $80,000 optional claiming / “three other than” allowance contest for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward sprinting 6.5-furlongs on the main track.

Douglas Scharbauer’s Red Ghost, a Grade 3 stakes-winning sprinter, is the 5-2 morning line choice in a compact field of six. Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez has the call on the four-year-old chestnut daughter of Ghostzapper for trainer Wesley Ward.

Hat Trick On Wednesday’s Program

Steam gave out three winners on Wednesday’s eight-race program at Keeneland and, as a result, with two days remaining at the 2022 Spring Meet in Central Kentucky, its top picks are winning at a 25 percent clip and have finished in the money 65 percent of the time.

Post time for the first of nine races at Keeneland on Thursday, April 28 is 1:00 P.M (Eastern).
