Rain Forces Thursday’s Feature Off Turf

The third “Twilight Thursday” of the 2022 Spring Meet kicks off a five-day week of Thoroughbred racing action at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY on Thursday, May 26. The eight-race program has a later-than-normal 5:00 P.M. (Eastern) post time.
The first race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $148,000 classified allowance event for three-year-olds and upward. Originally scheduled to be run on the turf, the race has been taken off the grass and will be contested at an 8.5-furlong trip on the main track.
Amerman Racing Stables, LLC’s Admission Office, a Grade 3 stakes winner on grass that will be making his first start in 15 months, is the 2-1 morning line choice in a field that attracted six horses in the race’s body and a pair of main track only entrants. Tyler Gaffalione has the call on the seven-year-old bay son of Point of Entry for trainer Brian Lynch.
