Six Pack Signed On In Friday’s Feature

A customary eight-race program is on the agenda at Ellis Park on Friday, August 12, as the Henderson, KY racetrack kicks-off a weekend of Thoroughbred racing in the Tri-State Area.

The third race on the card–the nominal feature–is a $40,000 optional claiming / “money since” allowance event for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward slated for an eight-furlong journey on the turf.

Ilium Stables, LLC’s Jezebel’s Kitten, who will be making her first start since May 19 at Churchill Downs, is the 9-5 morning line choice in a compact field of six. Jockey Jose Lopez has the call on the bay daughter of Kitten’s Joy for trainer Chris Davis.

Hat Trick On Sunday’s Program–$4.40 ROI

Steam gave out three winners and had a return on investment (ROI*) of $4.40 for each $2 wagered on its top picks on Sunday’s nine-race program at Ellis Park and, as a result, 15 days into the summer stand at the Pea Patch, its top selections are winning at a 30 percent clip and have finished in the money 65 percent of the time.

Post time for the first of eight races at Ellis Park on Friday, August 12 is 12:50 P.M. (Central). Additionally, there is a $56,630 carryover in the 50-cent Pick 5 (races 4-8, 2:14 P.M.) (Central) post time).

Racing will be conducted this summer at Ellis Park July 8-August 28, Fridays through Sundays. There will be no racing on August 13 to accommodate a one-day program at Churchill Downs.
