Five Stakes On Groupie Doll Day
Nine-races featuring five stakes are on agenda at Ellis Park on Sunday, August 14–Groupie Doll Stakes Day at the historic Henderson, KY racetrack.
The stakes action commences in the fifth race with the $125,000 Runhappy Ellis Park Juvenile Stakes, a seven-furlong dirt contest for two-year-olds, continues in the sixth race with the $125,000 Runhappy Ellis Park Debutante Stakes, a seven-furlong dirt affair for two-year-old fillies, is followed in the seventh race by the $100,000 Audubon Oaks for three-year-old fillies slated for a seven-panel trip on the main track, continues in the eighth race with the $125,000 Groupie Doll Stakes–the card’s signature event–for fillies and mares three-years-old and upward slated for an eight-furlong trip on the dirt, and concludes with the $200,000 Ellis Park Derby for three-year-olds going a flat mile on the main track.
