Three Stakes Anchor Saturday’s Card

Kentucky Downs’ seven-day, boutique FanDuel Meet continues on Saturday, September 3 — WinStar Farm Day at the all-turf gallops in Franklin, KY.

The 11-race card is highlighted by three stakes races — the $500,000 Aristocrat Gaming Juvenile Fillies Stakes for two-year-old fillies going eight-furlongs, the eight-panel, $500,000 Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile Stakes for two-year-olds, and the $1 million WinStar Mint Million Stakes (G3T) for three-year-olds and upward slated for a flat mile trip on the turf.

In the Juvenile Fillies Stakes, Town and Country Racing, LLC’s Knockyoursocksoff, who broke her maiden by open lengths on debut at Colonial Downs on August 3, is the 3-1 morning line favorite in a field that attracted nine entrants. Jockey Julien Leparoux has the call on the chestnut daughter of Kitten’s Joy for trainer Chris Block.

In the Juvenile Mile, Paradise Farms Corp. and David Staudacher’s Really Good, who broke his maiden at first-asking on July 23 on the inner turf course at Saratoga, is the 5-2 morning line choice in a field of nine. Tyler Gaffalione will be astride the son of Hard Spun for trainer Mike Maker.

Finally, in the WinStar Mint Million (G3T), Godolphin, LLC’s Pixielate, a two and a half length winner of the 2021 Mint Million (G3T), is 5-2 on the morning line to defend his title against eight other foes. Jockey Florent Geroux has the call on he five-year-old son of City Zip for trainer Michael Stidham.

$5,296 Carryover In Saturday’s Super Hi-5

Steam gave out one winner on Friday’s 10-race opening day program at Kentucky Downs and, as a result, one day into the nascent 2022 FanDuel Meet, its top picks are winning at a 10 percent clip and have finished in the money 60 percent of the time.

Additionally on Saturday’s card, there is a $5,296 carryover in the 50-cent Super Hi-5 (11th race, 6:05 P.M. (Central) post time).

The elite, all-turf meeting continues on September 4, 8, 10, 11, and 14.
