Six Pack Of Graded Stakes On Saturday’s Card

Six graded stakes races worth over $4.9 million is purse money is on tap at Kentucky Downs on Saturday, September 10–Kentucky Cup Day at the all-turf, Franklin, KY gallops.

The $1 million WinStar Mint Million Stakes (G3T) kicks-off the black type action in the fifth race, followed by the $750,000 Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes (G3T) in the eighth race, the $1 million FanDuel Turf Sprint (G2T) in the ninth, the $1 million Kentucky Turf Cup (G2T) in the tenth, the $600,000 Mint Ladies Sprint Stakes (G3T) in the eleventh, and concludes with the $600,0000 Franklin-Simpson Stakes (G2T) in the twelfth race nightcap.

In the Kentucky Turf Cup (G2T)–the card’s centerpiece–Otter Bend Stables, LLC’s Gufo, fresh off a win in the Sword Dancer Invitational Stakes (G1T) at Saratoga on August 27, is the definitive 7-5 morning line favorite in field that attracted 12 entrants. Jockey Joel Rosario has the call on the five-year-old chestnut son of Declaration of War for trainer Christophe Clement.

Three Winners On Thursday’s Program–$3.28 ROI

Steam gave out three winners and had a return on investment (ROI*) of $3.28 for each $2 wagered on its top picks on Thursday’s 10-race program at Kentucky Downs and, as a result, with three days remaining at the 2022 stand in Franklin, KY, its top selections are winning at a 13 percent clip and have finished in the money 50 percent of the time.
