12-races featuring a pair of graded stakes are on the docket at Churchill Downs on Friday, November 25, as the South Louisville, KY racetrack jump starts the final weekend of its 2022 Fall Meet.
The stakes action commences in the ninth race with the $300,000 Mrs. Revere Stakes (G2T) for three-year-old fillies slated for an 8.5-furlong trip on the Matt Winn Turf Course, and continues in the eleventh race with the $750,000 Clark Stakes (G1) presented by Norton Healthcare, a nine-furlong dirt contest for three-year-olds and upward.
In the Mrs. Revere Stakes (G2T), Chris Walsh’s California Angel, second in the Valley View Stakes (G3T) at Keeneland in her most recent start on October 28, is the 2-1 morning line choice in a field that attracted 10 entrants. Tyler Gaffalione has the call on the chestnut daughter of California Chrome for trainer George Leonard III.
In the Clark Stakes (G1), RED TR-Racing, LLC’s Rich Strike, the 80-1 upset winner of this year’s Kentucky Derby (G1), is the 2-1 morning line favorite in a compact field of six. Jockey Sonny Leon will be astride the three-year-old chestnut son of Keen Ice for trainer Eric Reed.
