Winning Colors Goes Through Echo Zulu

A nine-race Memorial Day program is on the agenda at Churchill Downs on Monday, May 29, as a five-day week of Thoroughbred racing action comes to a close at the historic Louisville, KY racetrack.
The featured eighth race on the card is the $225,000 Winning Colors Stakes (G3), a six-furlong sprint on the main track for fillies and mares four-years-old and upward.
L and N Racing, LLC and Winchell Thoroughbreds, LLC’s Echo Zulu, the champion juvenile filly of 2021 who will be making her four-year-old debut, is the prohibitive 4-5 morning line favorite in a compact field of six. Jockey Florent Geroux has the call on the bay daughter of Gun Runner for trainer Steve Asmussen.
