An nine-race program is on the agenda at Ellis Park on Sunday, July 9, as the Henderson, KY racetrack closes out the opening weekend of its 2023 summer meet.
The featured eighth race on the card is a $50,000 optional claiming / “money since” allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward slated for an eight-furlong journey on the turf.
Homewrecker Racing, LLC’s Point Me By, fifth in his most recent start at Churchill Downs on May 5, is the 2-1 morning line choice in a field that attracted seven entrants. Veteran reinsman Corey Lanerie has the call on the five-year-old bay son of Point of Entry for trainer Eddie Kenneally.
